Uxbridge signal box
Uxbridge, the signal box opened on 04/12/1938 and closed on 03/05/1987, being replaced by Uxbridge Interlocking Machine Room which is fitted with a 48 lever Westinghouse V1 frame and is controlled from Rayners Lane signal box
The box was closed on 4th May 1987.

General view of the lever frame. The 'N' Style lever frame at Uxbridge is a Westinghouse Style 'N' Power Frame and was mechanically interlocked between levers with electrical lever locking, The frame was formed of 5 x 12 way section which making a total of 59 levers, {5x12}-1 = 59 levers, as the last “lever” space is unavailable.

Track diagram at Uxbrige on the LT system, all the track lights are lit when there are no trains, therfore on the left hand side we can see that there is a train in the platform as the track lights are not lit It also looks like the train shed is virtually empty as only one track light is no alight.
