A Siemens-General Electric entrance exit panel was installed on 12th June 1961 which allowed the closure of Stepney East Junction, Bromley Junction, Upper Abbey Mills Junction and Upton Park signal boxes. The distance to the adjacent Barking signal box was 7m 442yds.
At sometime the 1961 Siemens-General Electric entrance-exit signalling panel was replaced by a British Railways Eastern Region entrance-exit signalling panel which was fitted in the 1961 panel’s shell.
