Willesden Green

Willesden Green signal box was opened by London Transport in 1938. It was built to the London Transport Type design and was fitted with a 59 lever Westinghouse 'N' frame (frame number 181). The box was closed on 01/02/1987.

The 'N' Style lever frame at Willesden Green is a Westinghouse Style 'N' Power Frame and was mechanically interlocked between levers with electrical lever locking, The frame was formed of 5 x 12 way section which making a total of 59 levers, {5x12}-1 = 59 levers, as the last “lever” space is unavailable.
