content header for Archway
Archway was opened by the Charing Cross, Euston & Hampstead Railway named Highgate on 22/06/1907 fitted with a 15 lever frame (frame number 80).

The box was re-named on Archway by London Transport (in June 1939 or December 1947). The frame was converted to air operation controlled by a key panel installed on 09 April 1961.

The box was closed on 24 June 1961 and converted to an interlocking machine room The 'B' frame was replaced by 12 lever 'V1' frame on 12 September 1992 which is still in use.
