| Signalbox Cabin A at Victoria terminus,
Bombay, about 1930. The electrically powered lever frame moved
the points to set the route for trains, and at the same time
operated signals to let the driver know whether he could
proceed. The signalman's job carried a lot of responsibility
because mistakes could be potentially fatal. Formal training
was given with some signalmen attending "Signalling school".
