Hammersmith was opened by the Metropolitan District Railway on 16 June 1906 fitted with a 39 lever frame (frame number 53). The box was closed on 02 May 1931.

Hammersmith {Metropolitan Line} signal box was opened by London Transport in 24th June 1951. It was built to the London Transport Type design and was fitted with a 35 lever Westinghouse 'N'. The frame was second hand from ?, and as far as I am aware the box is still in use.

According to record there is also Hammersmith MDR signalbox
